In Between The Crooks of Balance

the end:
anger in how i’ve denied,
lied in lying for an eternity
strength was false and unforgiving.
the beginning:
i will live to die for this high
for truth and justice
will not be maimed
will not be denied
conspiracies
often,
misguided theories,
fruitless quests
served up endless tests
resulting in few
gains
countless names
droves of remains;
desperate for air
in spite
of abundance,
ill-equipped
fumbling
without sight,
sound
inaudible.
new light yields
pulls
draws
exposes
all that can be
as one no longer lies in lying
for an eternity
Stand up
and
emulate your words
in the end
it is what you did
not what they heard.
